Peru flexibiliza quarentena

A partir de segunda-feira, 1º de março, o Peru começará a diminuir a quarentena, segundo a chefe de gabinete, Violeta Bermúdez.

A medida divulgada nesta quarta-feira chegará a 17 províncias do país, e terá vigência por duas semanas a partir de segunda-feira, quando termina a atual quarentena.

Violeta Bermúdez indicou que haverá toque de recolher apenas à noite até 14 de março. A diminuição das restrições se deve à diminuição das infecções na segunda onda da pandemia e à diminuição do número diário de mortes por Covifd-19 no país.

Embora as infecções causadas pelo coronavírus tenham caído para 6.859 em comparação com 6.923 no início de fevereiro, ainda existem 32 províncias consideradas de risco extremo e 14 de alto risco, nenhuma está em um nível moderado.

Violeta Bermúdez garante que o governo descartou o prolongamento da quarentena por pressão sindical ligada à situação econômica que atravessa o país.
